Jane is a transplant from the south but has lived in Big Lake for more than fifty years. She and her late husband reared three children here and they have all chosen to make their homes here.  She also has six grandchildren that grew up in Big Lake but most of them live in other Texas cities now.  Jane has always delighted in her children, grandchildren and now her great grandchildren.

Jane has been active in the business world in Big Lake.  She and her late husband operated Gay & Young Motor Co. for many years before their oldest son and wife took over.  Jane spent a number of years at Reagan State Bank before she was appointed County Auditor for Reagan County.  She served in that position for over nineteen years before retiring.  Now she stays busy volunteering at Friends For Hope and working in her yard where she enjoys her flowers.
