Evelyn Smith has been Volunteer Coordinator for Friends For Hope since January of 2004.  She has lived in Big Lake for most of her life.  She went to college in San Angelo and in Austin.  There she met and married her husband, and they moved back to Big Lake where they raised three wonderful children.  Evelyn was very active in volunteering at schools and church activities while raising her children.  She loves being with people and giving them the support they need.  She loves being with family and friends, and she also loves children of all ages, even teenagers!  Evelyn hopes that she has been able to help them in some small way to know how special they are.  Working at Friends For Hope has been very rewarding for her.  She hopes that she might be able to make a difference in all victim's lives.
